We're PREGNANT!

We are overjoyed to be announcing our pregnancy to you all!

Here's how we found out:

Saturday morning I woke up and stumbled to the bathroom. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Lately, when I wake up in the middle of the night or morning, my breasts are so sore that It feels as if someone is simultaneously giving me an Indian burn on both of them.

This feeling continues through out the day every time I move, put on a bra, or remove a bra. I must say- removing the bra is the worst. It feels like I have bowling balls in my bra, and my body is trying to hold them up under my skin. They feel stiff and fake. That only lasts for a few minutes until they get used to "hangin' on their own", then they still hurt but not as bad as when I first release these puppies! Ha!

***Back to me going to the bathroom....

So- I stumble in, holding my breasts in agony wondering what in the heck is wrong with them.

I get ready to sit down. I decide to walk back over to the sink before I do my business, and reach under the counter to grab a pregnancy test.

I sit again.

I pee. (Sorry).

I look at the stick briefly after. I see one line.

I figure it's a negative.

I wipe. (Sorry).

I look again before tossing the test in the trash.

Lo and behold- TWO LINES.

I stare at it for a minute in shock. I'm pregnant.

I contemplate how to tell my husband and decide I'm too tired, so I go back to the bed and place the stick on his chest, and I say, "We're pregnant."

His eyes light up. He smiles. He says, "Really?" Then he starts excitedly laughing.

We lay in bed and talk for a bit. He already starts telling me not to move to fast, and he starts to feel weak in his stomach thinking about whats happening in mine.

He keeps touching my stomach and smiling.

After a while, he gets up to use the bathroom, comes back to bed but first kisses me and my stomach. That was the first of many baby belly kisses I'm sure.

We call my mom, we call his mom.

We are having a BABY!!! ***

My first sign should have been the fact that I am able to sleep for 11 hours, wake up and want to sleep again. I also should have been wondering what was happening to me when I made a Tuna Fish sandwich and the smell made me queasy.

I thought nothing of most of the signs I was given, because the last time my period came, my breasts felt the same way. That was on September 20th. We're all adults here, so I can talk about my period...right? Continuing either way...

My September period was heavier than normal, and now I believe that was God preparing my womb and lining to hold this baby. Out with the OLD, in with the NEW.

I went to the Gyno for a check-up in October after that period ended, and received a clean bill of heath. I ended up missing my period in October, which isn't abnormal because- due to STRESS caused by some "lovelies" in our lives, I have missed a few here and there.

With that said- we figured my period would be coming any day and since my breast were this sore last month, I didn't think much of it. The only difference is that last month they hurt this bad, but my period came a little over a week later. This time- they had been hurting for about 2 weeks solid, with no signs of letting up.

I have not had any signs of pregnancy except for being tired, and these abnormally sore breasts of mine, and sore gums.

We went to CVS and bought prenatal vitamins Saturday night, and I've been taking them daily along with an extra Folic Acid pill.

My mom gave me a ton of fresh fruits to eat in the morning, and I am starting to drink milk, even though I hate milk, and it makes me gag. We bought the chocolate milk, so it's not AS bad as it can be.

We scheduled our first sonogram to see how far along we are on December 3rd. Based on pregnancy calculators, I could be as far along as 7 weeks, but that remains to be proven at the doctor.

Please pray for us, and this baby.

We are Elated!

P.S- we took two tests to be sure. The test on the top came out positive , and we took it an hour or after the first one, and I only had two drops (literally) of pee on that stick. the line is lighter, b/c there was hardly any urine for the test.
