I haven't posted on this blog in a while, so this post will be loaded with pictures and captions.
Gianna is 3 months old and time is flying by so fast. We love every second of being her parents, and she is such a joy and blessing in our lives. It is the coolest thing watching her grow and learn and figure out new things. We love it!!!
Gianna started showing signs of teething a few weeks ago. She constantly wants to chew on our fingers, her toys, and her own hand. She balls her hand up into a fist and tries to eat it. I'll have to get a picture of that soon. It's so funny!
Gianna loves playing and is very alert. She loves her toys, but she loves playing with us and talking more. She is not camera shy at all, and whenever you bring out the camera she is ready to pose. Future model?
Gianna still LOVES the water. She usually takes one or two baths in her tiny tub a week, and at least one Jacuzzi tub a week with Mommy and Daddy. It's one of our family "play times". On the nights she's not in the bath or Jacuzzi tub showers with either Mommy or Daddy.
She will spend up to 45 minutes in the Jacuzzi at a time and would probably stay in longer if we let her. She kicks and floats and has figured out she can splash. Splashing is very messy when she takes one of her baths in the portable tiny tub, because we put it on the counter in our bathroom, and by the time she's done we have water all over the mirror and counter. Haha! She's so fun!
Gianna mastered tummy time a long time ago, since she has always had a very strong neck since birth, but now she LOVES staring at herself in the mirror. She stares at the people holding her in the mirror too. She smiles a lot and talks to your reflection, as well as her own. I think we will have a social butterfly on our hands. I'm just glad she's not shy!
Gianna likes to hold toys and cuddle with them now. She grabs things and swats at them and plays with them, and has been for a few weeks now. She's so smart!
Hmmm....should I eat my fist or the hippo's ears? How about both?

I love my baby!
Our snuggle bug...
We went to Florida to visit Gianna's Italian side of the family in September. Gianna went in the pool for the first time and she loved it. The water was warm and she loved her float and ladybug bathing suit that our family bought her!
We took her to the ocean and had a mini photo shoot there. We took a TON of pics. Good thing digital cameras were invented, or we would have spent a ton on film during this trip.

Aunt Donna made Gianna this Lei to wear at her first beach outing. Gianna loved the ocean and putting her feet in the sand. She was very patient with the hundreds of photos we took of her, even though it was nap time!
Nonna visited us in September, and was here for 4 or 5 weeks I think. Gianna and Nonna are so cute together, and they love singing old songs. Nonna sings and Gianna tries to sing along. It's adorable. Gianna talks to Nonna on skype now that she's gone. This picture is of Gianna, Nonna and Daddy talking to Papa Artoor.

Pretty girl
The great outdoors
Gianna loves being outside. We always take her on walks or sit outside with her and show her the flowers on the patio. Yesterday afternoon we sat outside and she watched her Daddy wash the SRT-8, so she could get some Vitamin D from the sun.
The last 2 days, Gianna fell asleep by 5:30 P.M. and wouldn't wake up, but then was up 3-4 times in the middle of the night because sleeping so early messed her schedule up. Because of that, yesterday we tried even harder to keep her up until bedtime. We took her out to the patio before dinner and watched Sesame Street and she watched the flowers for a bit. Then she went inside and we had dinner, and after she took a shower with her Daddy.
She ended up staying awake until 10 P.M., with only a 30 minute cat-nap around 8:30 P.M. She slept until 5am (when she woke up to eat) then slept again until 6:30A.M., when she had to take her morning "potty". She slept again from 7:20 A.M until 9:00 A.M.
She's a good girl. It's noon right now and she's napping again.

Hands & Arms!
Gianna is a hands-on girl. She is always clasping her hands together, holding her paci in her mouth or pulling it out, touching her face, holding our fingers, etc.
She sleeps with hands under her chin, on the side of her face, or arms straight up next to her head. I sleep like that too. It's so funny how much she is like Jebo and I, but still has her own personality as well.
She can be feisty at times also, but it's adorable to us! Even Nonna & Grandma laugh when Gianna does her "protest scream" to let us know she's done doing something, or when she grunts and makes noises when she's eating waiting for the milk to come as if to tell us "You waited TOO long woman!" Hehe!

Baths & Showers
Gianna is all about the water and the outdoors. The other day I decided to take her in the shower with me, so she could get used to it since we'll be going to Florida soon, and she won't have her baby bath to use. It was a huge success. She is such an easy baby, and adapts to anything.
Daddy wanted to shower with Gianna also, so he got his turn last night. He wants to do it every night now. He loved that bonding time with his little girl. So sweet!!!
After her shower with Daddy, I took her and wrapped her up in her towel. When Jebo got out of the shower she was talking to him and he snapped some cute shots of her snug as a bug in her towel.
We love this girl so much!!!
iPhones
We bought iPhones the other day so now we are taking EVEN MORE pictures!
Jebo was at work taking pictures of himself and sending them to me, so I took a few of Gianna and I and sent them to him. These are the coolest phones we've ever had.
I also have YouTube on my iPhone, so I saved all of the vintage Sesame Street videos on it for Gianna. She loves our iPhones too! Here's a photo of Gianna watching Sesame Street on the patio with Nonna & Daddy. She LOVES Bert & Ernie, and the Cookie Monster.

Gianna & her cats
Spike is very protective over Gianna. He always guards her and smells her to make sure she is OK.
Gooey leaves her alone, although I'm sure when Gianna is bigger, Gooey will be her Best Friend.
Khloe usually leaves her alone also but smells her on occasion. I think Khloe is a bit jealous that her Daddy doesn't give her as much lovin' anymore. Poor kitty baby!

Nonna is here
Nonna flew in on Sept 3rd, and has been enjoying her time with us and her Granddaughter.
Friday we had some friends over so Gab could see all his friends he missed all summer, then on Saturday we went to Uncle Paul's birthday party. Gianna was a hit. Everyone was commenting on how cute she is and how alert she is for 7.5 week old baby.
Sunday we went to lunch in DC, and then stopped by a friends house because they were having an end of the summer party at home.
Yesterday my Mom came over with Paul & Chris and we had a nice dinner of lamb chops, crab cakes, garlic mashed potatoes and string beans. MMMMM....
We have been busy, busy, busy so I'm looking forward to a quiet next few days.
